1920's-1930's Extremely Rare- Emaso 2 (E. Maar & Sohn) Italian 24" Doll
RARE antique EMASO doll from the 1930's or earlier.
She has a jointed celluloid body and is
wearing an adorable original German dress with a white lace pinafore. Panties and shoes are also original.
Wig is in great condition but could use some glueing down in the back. Lips have been touched up by myself but would probably wash off with a cloth.
Upper lip was missing some paint on the right side.
Her beautiful turquoise, flirty eyes is what makes her so unique and stunning. They follow you around the house :)
Her old fashion crier kind of works and there appears to be a loose part somewhere in the body that rattles when held upside down.
She does have a crack on her right foot, please see photos. Nothing major wrong with the doll considering how old she is, simply lovely and unique.
The back of her neck reads "Emaso 2" and I believe her curly wig is made from human hair or is mohair.
I don't have a lot of history to share, except I was told she was a gift that had been brought back from Europe and the father wished he had found a smaller doll but he loved her blue eyes.
Please check out photos for condition and ask any questions you may have before making your purchase. I am not an expert in this field but I will try my best to describe any flaws or markings. All dolls have been cleaned gently for sanitation purposes before entering my home.
A little added information.......I am an elderly women who has a passion for finding vintage dolls and clothing from estate and garage sales. My purchases are based on dolls or clothing that I would love for my own collection but am unable to keep every found treasure. Many of the dolls that I will be listing is from my own collection and from various estate sales or friends.
My goal is to be as accurate and forthcoming in all my listings and provide the best customer service possible. Along with finding new homes that also have a great appreciation for antique dolls.
I hope you find my prices reasonable. I am not looking to make a huge profit but would like to cover my initial expenses and still have a little extra for my weekly card games.
