WHY THIS VEHICLE?
From the private collection. This 1970 El Camino was originally built in California. The most recent owner purchased it in the early 2000s for his collection, where the vehicles are stored in the climate-controlled showroom with a staff technician to care for the vehicle in the collection daily. Except for the paint, in factory-original condition and with interesting factory options, this El Camino received a high-quality cosmetic refinish and a period-correct color change from Green Mist to Black Cherry in the nineties. All parts needed to provide access and avoid masking were removed from the vehicle to ensure the best possible quality paint job closest to the factory finish. It is an exceptional example that retained the patina of the original vehicle while offering the reliability of the functional everyday driver if desired. It is equipped with a factory air conditioner which was converted to R134 and blows cold air. The original Turbo-Fire 350 V8 engine offers great performance and easy-to-handle power. The Turbo-Hydro Matic Transmission shifts smoothly. The paint and interior are in impressive condition for their age. Of course, there are some minor flaws that we are showing in our detailed videos describing the paint, interior, engine compartment, cargo area, and in-depth underbody condition.

COMPREHENSIVE INSPECTION & SERVICE STATUS
We performed a comprehensive vehicle inspection. The underbody is free of any penetrating rust. You can see light surface rust in some areas, which is typical for the original vehicle, even from the south. There was some dry, oily build-up in some spots on the engine, transmission, and final drive, which we thoroughly cleaned off and performed an extended road test. We inspected the drivetrain and underbody after and confirmed no fresh oil leaks. There was minor wetness from one of the power steering lines, which we showed in the video. The air conditioning was working, blowing barely cold air. We tested the system, confirmed no leaks, and retrofitted the system from R12 to R134. The AC works great and blows cold air now. We performed the four-wheel alignment to ensure the front wheels are aligned, the vehicle tracks straight, and the rear axle is in the correct original position.
Service Status: All Maintenance items are up to date.
