This Offering is for One (1) Antique Corona Standard “Floating Shift” Manual Portable Typewriter.
From the 1930s I believe. Marked on the bottom 043-B. (See Photo #9)
Great Glossy Black finish.
Graphics are in great condition,
there
is some very minor wear to the "made in
USA
" graphic on the back. (
See Photo #7)
This Typewriter comes with a Case.
The case is in acceptable condition for age. (See Pics 3,11 & 12)
Of Course The Condition of this Typewriter & Case is "PreOwned" & The condition of such is commensurate with its age and the decades that it has been utilized.
The return bar functions as expected…
The typewriter does function, but does need a tuneup.
The Keys noticed with an issue striking paper are:
Letters A O
Numbers 2

What is typed is today’s date: June 5, 2021… prospective buyers should note the a & o in today & the 2 in the year 2021 is not there: this is what we mean by these three keys have an issue striking the paper
Although our typing skills are lacking, the keys noted above did not hit paper. Other keys did function… We do want to reiterate it most likely needs a tuneup & a new ribbon…
So this Typewriter could use a Good cleaning & a Tune-Up: tasks we are unknowing of how to accomplish…
I will leave that for the next owner.
Just a note: We do not ever try to improve upon our listings in any way shape or form. Besides a dusting we do not ever try to recondition nor Repairs items, or in any other way improve upon a proposed item for listing.  We leave that to the new owner…
The Typewriter does have minor cosmetic imperfections as any 80 year old item might.
What we do want any prospective buyer to know is we are trying to point out everything possible, positive & negative about this machine.

The case is missing leather in spots because that’s what often happens to a 70 - 80 year old Typewriter Case.
This is Still a very nice Typewriter.
Comes With the original case which clips in with no issues.
Case in as shown condition. No key, but locking hinge goes into lock and secures the case with no issues.
Any & all signs of wear / condition are commensurate with this offerings age.
For the past few decades this has resided in a closet untouched & historically Cherished.
Over the Decades it’s been our Guest within our Pet-free / Smoke-free Home, so no retained odors…
