ABOUT THE ARRI FE-4 EXTENSION VIEWFINDER:
The FE-4 is a longer eyepiece extension (270mm) than the FE-2 extension viewfinder that typically accompanies an A
RRI SR3 camera. The FE-4 extension viewfinder includes a 2X magnifier function for checking critical focus as well as a swing-in ND6 contrast filter. The contrast viewing filter can be quickly flipped in and out of position when viewing the image through the camera-- this technique can be a great add for judging the lighting contrast of a scene and provides a good indication of the expected result on film-- the shorter Arri SR3 FE-2 extension viewfinder does not have this capability.
