Banana Boat-Paneled Grape-Westmoreland-White Milk Glass-Vintage-Signed-12x8 1/2"

Description

Gorgeous, large banana boat/dish with the elegant Paneled Grape pattern around the outside, done in milk glass by Westmoreland Glass Company. It would be great as a centerpiece to a collection, holding pine cones and greenery for Christmas or filled with artificial fruit to have on display year round. It's in very good condition and  it's marked WG on the bottom. It measures a little over 12 inches end-to-end, 6 and 1/2 inches wide and about 8and 1/2 inches tall. Westmoreland Glass made the Paneled Grape pattern from 1950 through the 1970s.
Westmoreland Glass Company started out as The Specialty Glass Company about 1889 but the name was changed to Westmoreland Glass in 1924. They operated at several plants, all in the Pennsylvania area, until 1984 when the company closed completely.
