Description
One-half ounce of pure Agave nectar in a frosted glass bottle with a glass dropper for easy feeding. Please see video.I give this to my Camponotus ants (carpenter ants) and one drop will be gone in about 30 minutes. It's their favorite and they always seem to want more.
To produce Agave nectar from the Agave plant, the leaves are cut off the plant after it has been growing for seven to fourteen years. The juice is then extracted from the core of the Agave plant which is filtered, then heated, to break the complex components into simple sugars. This filtered juice is then concentrated into a syrup, slightly thinner than honey.
* Contains up to 60% fructose and 20% glucose
* 1.4 to 1.6 times sweeter than sugar
* A vegan alternative to honey
* Composed of 76% carbohydrates, 23% water, 0.4% fat, with trace amounts of protein
* Ants love it
Agave nectar can be stored in a cool, dry place indefinitely. Agave nectar can also be stored in the refrigerator, if desired. It does not crystalize like honey.
