    Description

    Corona Four in
Lavender with Gold, contrasting panels in crackle finish Rose Gold
! This is one of the models Corona introduced with several different DuPont DUCO color ways. The Lavender / Rode Gold is especially rare. Serial # L5L05860 I believe it is from 1938. Cosmetically, it is in very nice condition. Types well. Brand new ribbon is installed.
It has new feet. It has new feed rollers and they are seated rather tight so the paper feeds brilliantly, but there's not as much smoothness when the feed rollers are disengaged to straighten your paper, but you certainly can. The platen looks real nice but it is very hard. Typing with a backing sheet or two makes a huge difference, softening the blow and making the imprint much better.
This typewriter is exquisite and really nice to look at, but I would say it is more for letters and notes than a daily workhorse. I'm partially biased because I own several Corona Fours, and find that their design is about as perfect as it gets, but I don't love typing on them.
Case is quite good, with handle intact. No key.
