Description
Ready to grace your antique foreign dolls collection is this extremely pretty, 8 1/2" tall,"Parisette"
costume doll by
Petitcollin Celluloid Co., Paris France, circa 1920s
. With her early, finely embroidered,
red wool
costume with long sleeves and
magnificent
gold
and antique lace trim
she embodies the best of this manufacturer's line of provincial, souvenier type dolls. She has jointed arms and slender legs with molded and painted, ribbed socks and black shoes (see illustrated photo) as well as a padded chest, a wide, stiff pleated collar and elaborate antique lace and ribbon, traditional French, straw-stuffed headdress covering her long, light brown curly hair. She has the most detailed, molded and painted features with intaglio blue eyes, nose and mouth details and lovely complexion with blushed cheeks. In addition, she has a magnificent embroidered double apron and panties. She is in extremely good condition with some fraying to the back of her silk bonnet and a small age split to the bottom of one shoe (tiny manufacturing dent to one leg) which do not affect her appearance. She has no holes or tears, no damages or repairs, no stains or fading and no odors as she is from a smoke free home. Other celluloid dolls are each listed separately and
not included
.
