What a darling, 7
" tall,
vintage/antique, jointed
Kewpie
type celluloid, baby doll, toy is this early model. Circa 1940, wearing a molded textured knit, snow suit with
molded ties and matching knit cap with tassel.
He/she has huge, painted side-glancing (Googly)
👀
eyes with finely painted eyebrows, chubby cheeks, sweet mouth, cute little nose and fabulous coloring. She has molded tufts of hair on each side and at back, joints at her shoulders and hips with bare feet and is signed across her shoulders:
Made in USA.
Similar celluloid baby toys are pictured in, "Celluloid Dolls"-Lauer/Robinson. She is in excellent condition and has no damages or repairs, no splits, cracks or chips, original stringing needs tightening. These larger celluloid baby toys are getting quite scarce. Other celluloid toys are
