Lipped, Oval, Footed Bowl-Paneled Grape-Westmoreland-White Milk Glass-11 1/2"

Description

Offered is a really nice, oval bowl in the elegant Paneled Grape pattern made in milk glass by Westmoreland Glass Company. The bowl has lipped, scalloped top edges and and oval foot. It measures about 11 and 12 inches long, 9 and 1/2 inches wide and about 4 and 1/2 inches tall so is large enough for serving almost anything. It has the Westmoreland Glass WG mark on the bottom and is in very good condition. The nice Paneled Grape pattern goes all around the outside of the bowl making it a very striking piece.  Westmoreland Glass made the Paneled Grape from 1950 through the 1970s.
Westmoreland Glass Company started out as The Specialty Glass Company about 1889 but the name was changed to Westmoreland Glass in 1924. They operated at several plants, all in the Pennsylvania area, until 1984 when the company closed completely.
