Pioneer LaserDisc player CLD-D505 as-is laser disc Doesn't Power Up

Pioneer Laserdisc player as shown.
This laser disc player was in a stereo cabinet in a house that I bought and had to clean out. I am finally getting around to liquidating some of the items that may have some value (or not). The other items in the stereo cabinet somewhat worked, but looked as though they had not been used in a long time. The former owner had been put in a convalescent home.
This player does not come on at all when plugged in.
I do not know what is wrong with it and I have not attempted to find out. There is a cord, but no remote control.
