Preowned 44 Piece Set of "Indian Tree" Dinnerware Set. The "Indian Tree" pattern has many different variations and has been made by other potteries, but this particular set was made by Johnson Brothers England in the early 20
th
century and was purchased in the USA. This set was passed down through 3 generations, I am selling this for the original owner's family.
The "Indian Tree" pattern was popular during the last half of the nineteenth century. It was copied from earlier "Indian tree" textile patterns.The "Indian Tree" pattern was manufactured by Johnson Brothers for many years making it an extremely popular choice in the high street.
There are 10 dinner plates, 10 saucers, 6 dessert or salad plates, 2 dessert or bread and butter plates, 2 soup bowls, 2 salad bowls, 5 flat cups, 2 footed cups, 4 fruit/dessert bowl, and 1 sugar bowl. 9 pieces have chips. Most of them have crazing (fine cracks on the glaze layer of pottery). There is some yellowing on the back of the dinner plates. PLEASE SEE PICTURES. SELLING AS IS.
