    Description

Cast iron glass mold from Clevenger Brothers Glass Works in Clayton, NJ circa 1950. Elephant design. This baby is EXTREMELY heavy and shipping will be actual cost - weighs about 70 pounds and is coming from zip code 19087.
Clevenger Bros. Glass Co., was located in Gloucester County, New Jersey, Historical Site #87. but is now no longer in business. The company specialized in custom embossed bottles, savings banks, pitchers, vases and other specialty glass products, usually in labor intensive limited quantity (250, 500, 1000) for promotional, commemorative events. Every piece was made in an authentic Early American 18th century style, hand made, mouth blown, hand-tooled finished South Jersey glass. It used original formulas and tools from the old original Moore Bros. Glass Works (circa 1880). This is one such tool. It is a four part mold for blowing a vase/bottle in the form of a bunch of grapes. It even comes with such a vase in amber glass. Start price is my actual cost. Purchased at an auction held in Philadelphia by Freemen's Auctions in early 2005. This baby is extremely heavy. Shipping will be actual cost - and personal pick-up would be even better.
