vintage WESTMORELAND PANELED GRAPE white milk glass CANDLESTICK PAIR 1881

Description

Offered for sale is a PAIR of lovely white milk glass CANDLESTICKS for taper candles, made by Westmoreland glass, U.S.A.  The pattern is called Paneled Grape, and has bunches of grapes and leaves in raised relief all around.  This is Westmoreland's pattern #1881, and was made from 1940 until 1984.  The white-on-white pattern does not show well in the photographs, but I tried to capture some detail of the texture.  They are very well made, and surprisingly heavy.
Each candlestick stands 4 inches (10.2cm) tall, and measures 4 inches (10.2cm) in diameter at the base.  A U.S. quarter is shown in the first two pictures to give an accurate impression of the size at a glance.
They are in perfect condition with no chips, scratches, cracks or repairs.  The WG overlapping Westmoreland logo appears in raised relief on the underside (picture 3).  Price includes BOTH candlesticks.
